Highland Dance

Highland Dance is a traditional form of dance that can be traced back to the early 1200s in Scotland. Being technical in nature, dancers work to perfect the steps and dances that are filled with Scottish tradition. Through strength, artistry, and dedication, Highland

Dancers are immersed in a rich and enchanting culture. It does not matter if it is done for fun or to connect with heritage, highland dancing benefits students of all ages and capabilities.

K-Year 4 students learn Highland Dancing. Students have the opportunity to perform routines on a regular basis at special events such as the Highland Gathering which is an annual event held on Scots Campus in March.

Creating confidence in our students that they are well prepared for their future, will significantly improve the likely success of their transition into the world of work and post school life.
