hands-on, immersive experiences
The picturesque grounds and wide open spaces at Scots All Saints College provides an idyllic rural landscape for learning about agricultural production and technology. Featuring some of the equipment you would see on most properties in rural and regional Australia, the farm provides hand-on experiences to truly immerse young learners in a thriving agricultural environment.
Set on approximately 100 acres at Scots Campus, our diverse Agriculture setup includes:
- 2 cattle studs, Hereford and Limousin
- 30 first cross ewes which are joined with a white suffolk ram and all lambs sold as fat lambs
- Cropping, including growing Oats to lamb on and Lucerne which is used to finish lambs off over summer. Students are involved in paddock preparation for sowing of oats.
- A small (approx. 25 head) feedlot where steers are prepared for Sydney Royal Easter Show
- A small orchard
Our HSC results have always been outstanding with the class at least 12% above the state average.
Students can take Agriculture as an elective from Stage 5 right through to the HSC.
The associated Equestrian and Cattle Team programs provide a wealth of diverse learning and experiences to be shared for students from Year 7 to Year 12.
