Ms Helen Jones

An individual’s career journey is rarely what they expect it to be, and this can be said for my own personal career to date. It was with great excitement and enthusiasm that I joined Scots All Saints College in its Foundation Year. Communication is a big part of any successful career and part of my role will be to disseminate all current information to parents and students regarding different post school options. Students can find me next door to the library on Scots Campus, which is a perfect location for senior students on their study breaks to drop in and have a chat. Being highly visible and accessible is important in building my relationship with the students. I am able to assists students with careers interviews, interview preparation, resumes, job applications, University/scholarship/accommodation options and applications, Gap year options, acquiring Tax File Number (TFN) and Unique Student Identifiers (USI).

Working in collaboration with all stakeholders is critical as we guide and support our young men and women through their educational journey. We need to encourage, demonstrate and build the skills that employers are looking for. Creating confidence in our students that they are well prepared for their future, will significantly improve the likely success of their transition into the world of work and post school life. As a professional member of the Careers Industry Council of Australia (CICA), I have access to resources and networks from this peak national body for the Careers Industry which promotes professional standards and best practice.

I look forward to working with all the students across the Senior Campus and getting to know the supportive families behind these wonderful young men and women.
