Campus West (Saints) Captain 2021

Sophia Burke

The position of school captain of the Junior and Middle School at Scots All Saints is a one I feel very honoured to hold in 2021.

As John C. Maxwell once said, “A leader knows the way, goes the way and shows the way”. This, to me means that a true leader will find the right path to follow, will follow that path no matter what struggles they go through, and will show the path to others. This year, I am excited to help our student leadership team to create positive and beneficial changes around the Campus West (Saints) and to be a compassionate leader and good role model for the younger students.

After attending Pre-Kindergarten on the All Saints campus I went to primary school locally, returning to this campus for Year 7 at Scots All Saints College. My sister, Francesca, is in Year 10 and goes to Scots All Saints College on the Senior Campus. I enjoy learning guitar, listening to music and playing team sports.

Throughout Year 7 I was involved in many after school activities, including the Middle School band, both hockey and touch football, guitar lessons and more. The College’s many co-curricular activities have given me the chance to meet many new friends and to get to know the school community. I look forward to encouraging others to become involved in the College activities and helping them to feel welcome, particularly new students.

I am excited about the many opportunities that 2021 will bring to all of us at Scots All Saints College.
