Under 6s Brumbies

On the weekend the Brumbies played their fellow school friends the Leopards. Both teams played well in this evenly matched game and showed good sportsmanship. The Brumbies played well in attack and defence and improved in looking for their team mates for help and support. Ben Alexander and Hunter showed their skills, Alex became more involved and more confident, Nellie improved in paying more attention. Terran received player of the match for his all round performance.

Under 6s Leopards

On Saturday the Leopards were so happy to see friends on both teams! It was a well matched game, both teams kicked many goals. We have a little bit to work on at training this week but over all it was a great game! Player of the match was William.

Under 8s Lions

The U8s Lions faced a strong 75s team with some great little talent. We ourselves had a few away this week due to holidays, which left us with no reserves and our brave team battled all the way until the final whistle. Unfortunately the game got away from us late and we went down 5-0. The score line certainly didn’t reflect the standard of the game and this week’s MVP went to Kobe Wollaston for his outstanding defence and ball clearance. Well done team!

Under 9s Lightning

With the Thunder having a bye several players joined their Lightning friends for a close game against Bathurst 75 Rebels. There was very little between the teams and Amtoj and Jenson both did a great job in goals to pull off some dramatic saves. Amtoj scored a goal in the second half whilst Louis kept himself very active in both attack and defence. Nick made some nice clears in the backs whilst Elleesa and Hayden dominated in the mid. Special thanks to Charlie and Hugh for helping the Lightning and contributing so well in attack. and to Mr Dunstall for coaching this week.

Under 10s

The Under 10’s played against Oberon United and they put in a huge effort. This was especially important as our team was one player short. With no subs and extra ground to cover, each member worked well as a team with a number of players making sure other members were included when opportunities arose. I am very proud of the growing team spirit the Under 10’s are displaying. Well Done!
