Write Place Right Time Workshop

On Thursday, 18 students participated in the Write Place Right Time Workshop run by United Nations Youth. This 1-day literacy workshop aims to empower and celebrate the voices of regional high school students.

The workshop is designed to assist students in developing their written, verbal, and visual literacy skills. Participants in the workshop received valuable advice relating to text types, effective literary techniques and developing the important skill of critical reflection.

After brain storming ideas, students developed a creative piece of work which acknowledges and celebrates their unique identity and connections to place.

Some students worked cooperatively as team to produce a mixed media work; others created individual pieces. These creative works will be published in an official anthology.
