Psychologist

Enjoy work life balance working part- time for Scots All Saints College as part of a progressive and collaborative team providing ongoing meaningful therapy – not continual daily assessments. Bring your ability to be creative, design programs, hold groups, network with local agencies etc.  Bring ideas and energy to work with the school on new initiatives.  Accommodation available if required.

Scots All Saints College is an independent, multi-campus P-12 co-educational day and boarding school located in Bathurst, Central West NSW.

The Psychologist position will:

  • Apply psychological expertise to enhance and support the cognitive, emotional, social, physical and spiritual wellbeing of students from Preparatory to Year 12.
  • Provide counselling using evidence-based interventions to improve the wellbeing of students. Make a difference working with students 1:1 and in groups. 
  • Undertake cognitive, emotional and behavioural assessments to identify and create school-based supports.
  • Work collaboratively with the College leadership team, learning support, parents, carers and other agencies to enhance learning and wellbeing.
  • Collect, collate and maintain student clinical information and records to meet legislative, ethical and system requirements to inform research and policy development.
  • Respond to and assist the College in their response to critical incidents and emergencies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Appropriate qualifications in psychology and full registration as a psychologist with APHRA
  • Valid and current Working with Children Check clearance.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between campuses. This will require a current and valid driver’s licence.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a large and diverse team.
  • Exceptional personal standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism.
  • Highly refined communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to uphold and promote the Christian values and ethos of the College.
  • Board accredited supervisor qualifications are highly desired.

Temporary English Teacher

Scots All Saints College (Bathurst) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified English Teacher to teach Stage 4 and 5.  This position can be full time or 0.7 FTE.  The position is for Term 2, 2023 to cover leave.  Accommodation may be available for the successful applicant if from outside the local area, during this period of employment.

Chaplain

An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified Chaplain to join the Scots All Saints community to guide the Christian focus of the College in both pastoral and learning environments.

The Permanent Full-Time position will begin at the start of Term 3 2023 or at a mutually convenient time thereafter.

The College Chaplain works as a member of the Scots All Saints College Management Team, and will:

  • Provide pastoral care and counselling for all members of the College community,
  • Develop Christian life, worship and understanding among students, and
  • Build relationships with all members of the College community.
  • Assist the Head of College lead the Christian direction and culture of the College.

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess School Chaplaincy or Parish experience
  • Show a firm commitment to an active Christian faith, and be able to express their faith openly,
  • Show full support of the Westminster ‘Confession of Faith’,
  • Regularly attend and be an active member of a Christian church aligned with the Presbyterian Church,
  • Have demonstrated experience and skills in the provision of pastoral care to   children/youth and their families,
  • Have a broad understanding of children/youth and issues affecting them,
  • Demonstrate abilities and initiative to work with minimum supervision,
  • Actively foster the Christian ethos of the College,
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator who is able to connect with students, staff and parents in formal and informal settings,
  • Possess appropriate qualifications in theology, chaplaincy and/or pastoral care, and
  • Provide a Working with Children Check.
