Bathurst Highland Festival

UPDATE - Festival has been cancelled for 2026

The Pipes and Drums competition component of the Bathurst Highland Festival has been cancelled for 2026. Unfortunately due to sharp rises in fuel costs many of the bands have had to rethink their plans for travel to regional competitions this year, and the Pipe Band Association made the difficult decision to cancel the Bathurst Highland Festival’s pipe band competition this year.

The Highland Dancing competition will still be held in Aikman Hall on this planned date  3 May.

UPDATE: Festival has been cancelled for 2026.

Each year Scots All Saints College hosts the Bathurst Highland Festival, complete with bag-pipes and drum band competitions and highland dancing competition, with bands and dancers coming from across NSW and interstate to perform on the College’s Senior School Campus, 4173 O’Connell Road, White Rock, NSW, 2795.

Competition activities generally commence at 10am and conclude at 3pm.

Visitors and spectators are welcome to come along and watch the bands and dancers in action. Food and drinks will be on sale.

This is a FREE ENTRY event for the general public.

The festival grows year-on-year with more and more bands and dancers, food and other stallholders in attendance.

The College Pipes and Drums and Highland Dancing community operates a BBQ fundraiser and there are also special stalls with goods for sale.
