Parent Communication and Information Management Systems

The following communication and information systems will be used by the College to support parents and carers to access and update information for students:

  • Edumate, the main new information management system (accessed via the Edumate web portal and Edumate’s CarerOrbit App); and
  • Paperly, the forms system.

Edumate Web portal
Log in

Log in to the web portal as ‘Parent’ using the email you have registered with the College – if a password is requested use the password emailed to you in your welcome email from the College.

If a code is requested to setup, please use: SASC .

Edumate web portal is an Edumate site parents and carers will use from a web browser.

The Edumate web portal will mainly be used by parents when needing to:

  • Update contact details for students and carers
  • Update medical information for students.

It is currently only possible to update contact and medical information via the Edumate web portal when using a laptop or desktop PC. It is not possible to update contact and medical information via the CarerOrbit app nor via the Edumate web portal when using a mobile phone.

CarerOrbit App

CarerOrbit (TASS Carer Orbit) app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Log in

Log in to the app using the email you have registered with the College.

If a code is requested to setup, please use: SASC .

At the app login screen choose choose to login as a Parent. Enter the email address you have registered with the College – you will have received a welcome email with the password. If you have not received the Welcome email please contact IT support: support@scotsallsaints.nsw.edu.au and request it to be resent.

The app looks like:

CarerOrbit is an Edumate smartphone app parents and carers will use to stay informed and connect on the go.

The CarerOrbit app provides parents with a convenient way of accessing Edumate. The app is a secure communication and information tool which parents use to:

  • access College news and updates;
  • process their student’s absences;
  • provide permission for excursions or activities; and
  • access links to forms.

Parents can keep up-to-date with your child’s education, co-curricular activities and more, through CarerOrbit app.

CarerOrbit has a notifications function – see the FAQs section below for more information.

Paperly – website portal only. Not a smartphone App

Access Paperly through

Please note Paperly does not have a smartphone app version – it is only accessed via the Paperly website portal.

Log in

Go to the Paperly site (link above) and enter the email address you have registered with the College. Click ‘Send Verification Code’ to activate the autogeneration of a code to your email address. Once you’ve received that code return to the Paperly page, enter the code to confirm you have permission to access.

In addition to Edumate’s web portal and CarerOrbit app parents will use Paperly, a web-based secure forms platform, to complete a range of general and self-service forms (eg Application for Extended Leave Form).

FAQs

CarerOrbit App users can receive notifications from the app for news and messages on their smartphone.

If you are NOT receiving the notifications, please check you have set Notifications and Focus (Mode) settings correctly.

Please ensure your smartphone settings allow for CarerOrbit app notifications to be received.

NOTIFICATIONS SETTINGS:
Android phone:

Go to Settings, select ‘Notifications’, see Privacy heading and select Notifications Show on Lock Screen and toggle this on to ensure notifications appear on locked screens.

Apple phone:

Got to Settings, select Notifications, scroll down the list of apps till you see CarerOrbit select it and toggle on to Allow Notifications and check all ‘Lock Screen, Notification Centre and Banners’.

FOCUS SETTINGS:
Android phone:

Go to Settings, Modes and Routines. Select each Mode/Routine. Check each Mode to see what the conditions are – and which app is allowed to be seen during this mode.

Guide: How to Update Medical and Contact Information in Edumate – Manual

To edit student and parent contact details and student medical details, parents will need to access the Edumate web portal on a laptop or PC.

These profile editing features are not currently available within the CarerOrbit app, nor via the Edumate web portal if you are using a mobile phone – you can only edit contact details on Edumate from a PC or laptop.

Log in to your parent account on Edumate and edit the necessary details. These changes will be submitted to College administration staff for review and approval. Once approved the changes will be updated on the Edumate system.

In CarerOrbit app – click light blue News Feed then scroll down screen to click the dark blue News Feed button that appears at base of screen.

In the web portal – Side menu, click on News Feed, check Broadcasts (news) and To Dos (tasks waiting for your attention).

Click the ‘Absences’ on the app dashboard, then ’ + Add Absence’ button at the bottom of the mobile screen – click and complete the Absence form. This will automatically register through to the College when submitted and College administration staff will review and approve as needed.

From 8 December 2025 onward, excursion notifications and permission requests will be sent to you via the CarerOrbit app, with an alert email also containing a link to the app. You will see any outstanding permission requests in the ‘To Dos’ section on the app as they wait for your attention, and on ‘Future Events’ once you have actioned the approval/decline and it is added to your child’s calendar of activities.

Activity and event forms

Where to go to find forms: Forms associated with an excursion can most often be found in the related event/excursion notice in CarerOrbit app. Outside the excursion/event notice you can access Paperly via the Forms button on your CarerOrbit dashboard, or visit the Paperly web portal directly. Paperly is a web-based system parents will need to login to access.

You can return to your Paperly account at any time to see forms you have submitted.

Self-service/Standard Forms

Where to go to find standard self-service forms: link to Paperly via the Forms button in your CarerOrbit dashboard or directly to Paperly site. Once you log in to your Paperly account you will see Self-Service Forms (eg Application for Extended Leave) in a short list on the home screen of your Paperly account.
