Senior School Textbooks
Box of Books
At Scots All Saints College we partner with Box of Books to ensure students are able to purchase the required textbooks (digital and physical), for their subjects.
See section below: STEPS TO ORDERING ON BOX OF BOOKS .
Buying digital and/or physical textbooks
Some families may already own some of the required textbooks in print, either from older siblings who previously studied the subject or purchased separately outside of Box of Books. In such cases, if the “Digital on BoB” option is available on the booklist, you can choose to purchase and access only the digital version through Box of Books instead.
It’s important to note that without the digital version from Box of Books, your child won’t have access to additional resources and enhancements provided by the teachers. The booklist specifies the necessary materials for each subject and their required format, so please read all notes carefully.
Accessing Digital Textbooks
Digital texts that have been purchased can be accessed through the student’s Box of Books portal.
We strongly recommend students sign in to Box of Books prior to the start of the year to ensure their textbooks and publisher interactives (e.g. online quizzes) are set up before classes commence.
Please click here for more information on accessing your digital resources.
For further assistance, please see this short informative guide on How to Purchase Books or contact the Box of Books team through the in-app support function.
Steps to ordering on Box of Books
1. LOGIN / CREATE ACCOUNT
Visit Box of Books Shop to log into your existing parent/guardian account or create a new account if it is your first time purchasing through Box of Books.
NEW PARENTS
When new parents create their Box of Books shop account they should do so using their personal email address.
2. ADD STUDENT TO ACCOUNT
Parents will then be prompted to add a student to their account to purchase texts for them.
For returning students, it is likely that they are already on the shop account and there is no need to add them again.
For new students – add student to account.
3. ADDING STUDENT EMAIL DETAILS
Once a student is added to the account, parents will be prompted to add their student’s email address.
IT IS CRUCIAL that the email address entered for the student be a separate email address, not the parent’s email address, otherwise the texts that are purchased will be allocated to the parent instead.
PLEASE DO NOT USE any personal email address (including the student’s own personal email) during this step, as this will result in the student not being able to access the texts via their student email address, once they receive it.
NEW STUDENTS
IF THE STUDENT DOES NOT YET HAVE A COLLEGE STUDENT EMAIL ADDRESS parents should click on “Not Sure” text link, which will allow them to select the school by name – if the school name is not the default option, start typing in the school name and it will appear – select. The order can then be placed without a student email address attached to the order.
Once the student receives their College email address, they can log in to their Box of Books account using this email address. The Box of Books system should have matched their email address to the name on the order by this time. Alternatively, the parent can also log in to their Box of Books account and manually add in the students new College email address from their shop account or reach out to Box of Books to manually add in their email address to the order.
4. SELECT BOOKS/ ITEMS
Select the items you wish to purchase from the booklist shown on the links below.
