Bella Starr (Year 11) has won the Parliament of NSW’s Regional Roadshow Public Speaking Competition, held in Cowra this week. Bella will go on to represent our area at the State Final of the NSW Parliament Regional Public Speaking Competition at Parliament House in Sydney in December 2026.
First launched in 2024, the NSW Regional Roadshow Public Speaking Competition is an initiative that highlights the voices and leadership of young people across New South Wales. Participating high school students have enjoyed the chance to interact with members of Parliament and strengthen their leadership skills.
Both the Roadshow Public Speaking Competition and the linked Public Forum events give local high school students an opportunity to express their views on important topics and discuss the issues that matter most to them, and offer young people in regional areas valuable networking opportunities and a platform to help them become future leaders and advocates for their communities.
