Thirty-four students participated in the Blayney Show as part of the College Sheep Team, accompanied by thirteen ewes.
The ewes were showcased in their respective age classes and as pairs.
The Australian White Ewe classes were the largest in the sheep section at the Blayney Show. Students also competed in the handler competition, which assessed their skills in sheep handling along with their knowledge of the animals they were exhibiting.
The results from the Blayney Show were as follows:
• Champion Australian White Ewe
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Australian White Ewe under 1 year.
• 1st and 3rd in the Australian White Ewe over 2 years
• 1st and 2nd in the Australian White Ewe Pairs class.
• 1st in handler over 15 years for Alyssa Acheson and many others making the finals for their age group.
We were fortunate to have Anna from Kentucky join us for the day, providing invaluable tips and tricks for sheep showing.
It was wonderful to see staff, other students, and parents in attendance, supporting the sheep team.
