France has made an art of a restful weekend, if you choose. The French Sunday is particularly renowned as a day for spending time with family and friends, doing absolutely nothing. An indulgence of leisurely time. Working on the weekend in France is interdit! (forbidden by law). It is a time for everyone to just ‘be,’ which often means ‘being’ together.
This week we spoke with students as to how they spend their time on the weekends. It wasn’t quite the laissez faire attitude one might expect!
