Gathering in the Bickerdike Centre for a relaxed afternoon recital on Wednesday afternoon, our emerging musicians impressed their parents and friends with some superb performances.
Year 2 beginner violins maintained their composure with beautiful technique and performed for the first time. Year 3 and 4 Concert Band and String groups made a huge sound filling the space. The Junior School Choir, Big Band and Concert showed the younger students how to perform in time, with dynamics and the impact of hard work.
The Corelli Strings concluded the concert with Pachelbel’s Canon, bringing back some wedding memories for some, and ‘Falconer’, a complex and beautiful work! We can’t wait for Showcase – 5:30 pm Friday 21 June at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre.
Bravo to the Junior School Musicians and their amazing tutors and staff!
